4. ANNAN COMMON GOOD FUND - 2017 SEASON HAAF NET LICENCES - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES

Members are asked to; (1) note the number of applications for 2017 Haaf Net licenses as detailed in paragraph 3.5; (2) note the feedback from Marine Scotland in relation to this Committee’s request to increase the number of Salmon and Sea Trout licenses available by up to 10% as detailed in paragraph 3.6; (3)  note the 30 applications conditionally approved by this Committee on 1February 2017 are now being processed as outlined in paragraphs 3.7 and 3.8; and (4) agree to issue Sea Trout only licences at a fee of £25 inclusive of VAT and to delegate to the Ward Manager Annandale East and Eskdale to issue these licences as detailed in paragraph 3.11.

5. ANNAN COMMON GOOD FUND - SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT’S RESEARCH PROGRAMME AND COMPENSATION CLAIM FOR LOSS OF FISHING LICENCES - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITES

Members are asked to: (1) consider the letter received from Marine Scotland with regards to the compensation claim for the loss of fishing licence income outlined the Appendix; and (2) note the information received from Marine Scotland in relation to the potential for the Annan Stake Nets to participate in the Scottish Government’s Research Programme as outlined in paragraphs 3.8 – 3.11.

6. ANNAN HARBOUR - OWNERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITIES - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITES

Members are asked to: (1)  note the decision of Economy Environment and Infrastructure Committee on 9 March 2017 in relation to the ownership and responsibilities of Annan Harbour; and (2) consider any implications of the decision for Annan Common Good.

7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS DEEMED URGENT BY THE CHAIRMAN DUE TO THE NEED FOR A DECISION
