4. DUMFRIES COMMON GOOD FUND: FINANCIAL SUMMARY AND FINANCIAL OUTTURN 2016/17, FINANCIAL PLAN 2017/18 AND PROPOSED GRANT CRITERIA 2017/18 - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES

Members are asked to:- (1) note the financial summary 2016/17 and forecast surplus of £1,295; (2) note the financial plan 2017/18 estimates that there will be £9,126 available to be disbursed in grants; and (3) consider and agree grant criteria 2017/18 for applications to Dumfries Common Good Fund as proposed in the Appendix.
 

5. LINCLUDEN COMMUNITY CENTRE - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES

Members are asked to:- (1) note the Big Lottery funding award of £125,974 to enhance Lincluden Community Centre; and (2) agree in principle, subject to approval by Policy and Resources Committee, to lease Lincluden Community Centre for the period of 5 years to Lincluden Community Centre Management Committee.

6. POPEYE’S PARK (LINCLUDEN GARDENS) - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES

Members are asked to agree in principle, subject to approval by Policy and Resources Committee, to lease Popeye’s Park (Lincluden Gardens) for the period of up to 20 years to Lincluden Community Centre Management Committee.

7. ANY OTHER BUSINESS DEEMED URGENT BY THE CHAIRMAN DUE TO THE NEED FOR A DECISION
8. LOCAL GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1973

Consider the adoption of a resolution to exclude the public from the meeting in terms of Section 50A (4) and paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.
