2 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

William McCartney declared an interest in relation to Item 3 by virtue of the fact he is a member of The Royal Burgh of Wigtown & District Community Council and determined that his interest was such that he would leave the meeting for consideration of this item.

 

3 FORECAST OUTTURN 2016/17, FINANCIAL PLAN 2017/18 AND APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE ROYAL BURGH OF WIGTOWN AND DISTRICT COMMUNITY COUNCIL - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES.

Decision

 

NOTED

3.1      that the estimated free income available for the Wigtown Common Good Fund for financial year 2017/18 was £190;

3.2     the free funds of the Wigtown Common Good Fund were estimated to be £7,554 as at 31 March 2017;

AGREED

3.3 to award a grant of £506 to The Royal Burgh of Wigtown and District Community Council as detailed at paragraphs 3.2 - 3.7 from the free funds of £7554 on the provision that the grant be spent within the Royal Burgh of Wigtown;
3.4 that the free income amount of £190 would remain available for further applications in 2017/18;
3.5 to welcome the fact that £7048 was still available as free funds for the current financial year;
3.6 to request further information on how the free income amount is calculated; and
3.7 to request further information about both the origins of the current investments and future donations to Wigtown Common Good Fund.
