3 WHITHORN AND WIGTOWN COMMON GOOD FUND SUB COMMITTEE - MINUTE OF MEETING OF 24 SEPTEMBER 2015 REPORT BY HEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICES

APPROVED.

4 WHITHORN AND WIGTOWN COMMON GOOD FUNDS - APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE REPORT BY HEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICES

NOTED

4.1     that the confirmed free income available for financial year 2016/17 was £1,942.00 for the Whithorn Common Good Fund and £200.00 for the Wigtown Common Good Fund; and

 

4.2     that all future meetings should be held on a date and time which ensured that Community representatives could also attend;

 

AGREED

4.3     not to award the sum of £1,000.00 requested by the Newton Stewart Traditional Music Festival Association due to the fact that the application did not fit the criteria of either Common Good Funds in that it did not directly benefit the inhabitants of either Wigtown or the Royal Burgh of Wigtown; and

 

4.4     that all future applications for financial assistance should be sent for consultation with a view to receiving comments from the Community Council’s for inclusion prior to the completion of the reports for both these Common Good funds.

5 ANY OTHER BUSINESS DEEMED URGENT BY THE CHAIRMAN DUE TO THE NEED FOR A DECISION
