4 SCOTTISH WELFARE FUND DISCRETIONARY HOUSING PAYMENT UPDATE - REPORT BY HEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICES

Decision

 

4.1     NOTED the current position regarding Scottish Welfare Fund spend and administration;

 

4.2     NOTED the current position regarding Discretionary Housing Payment spend and administration; and 

 

4.3     AGREED to continue with the current Discretionary Housing Payment policy.

5 SCOTTISH WELFARE REFORM AND DISCRETIONARY HOUSING PAYMENT ADMINISTRATION - REPORT BY HEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICES

Decision

 

NOTED

 

5.1    the current resource position of staffing and administration for Scottish Welfare Fund and Discretionary Housing Payment;

 

5,2    the impact on the service once temporary funding ends in September/ October 2016; and

 

AGREED

 

5.3     to recommend to Full Council that £98,000 funding be allocated from the Anti-Poverty Strategy fund for 2016/17, to meet the staffing and resource levels identified to sustain the current level of service delivery for Scottish Welfare Fund; and

 

5.4     that the Chairman writes to the Scottish Ministers to seek assurances on the level of service that can be delivered and that the funding will maintain sustainability of the services that are to be provided under the Scottish Welfare Fund administration
