3 DENTAL SERVICES IN NEWTON STEWART - REPORT BY HEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICES.

Decision

 


3.1 AGREED the format for the meeting;

 

NOTED


3.2 the decision taken by the NHS Board at their meeting of 7 December 2015 as detailed at paragraph 3.10 of the report and the updates provided by NHS Dumfries and Galloway;

 

3.3 the continuing concerns over vehicular and disabled access, capacity and waiting times for dental appointments in relation to the proposal;

 

3.4 the continued approval of the existing service being provided;

 

3.5 that the dental issues will be revisited again at a future NHS Dumfries and Galloway Board meeting;

 

3.6 the Integration Joint Board’s role in the future planning of Dental Services; and

 

3.7 that given the Chief Executive NHS Dumfries and Galloway still requires to satisfy himself in terms of best practice and performance with regards to the proposal and that the public attending this meeting remain unconvinced by the proposal; to REQUEST Wigtown Area Committee receive further information on the outstanding issues still requiring clarification in order that a response can be sent to the NHS Dumfries and Galloway Board.
