4 CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND LIFELONG LEARNING SERVICES - REVENUE BUDGET MONITORING REPORT 2016/17 - FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2016 - REPORT BY HEAD OF SOCIAL WORK/CHIEF SOCIAL WORK OFFICER

NOTED

 

4.1 that as Children and Families Social Work Services were now part of Children, Young People and Lifelong Learning (CYPLL), these services will not be reported separately but presented as part of the CYPLL Services revenue budget monitoring report;

 

4.2 that the Social Work Services section of CYPLL is projected to be £60k overspent against the 2016/17 agreed budget;

 

4.3 that the details of the Social Work Services budgets within CYPLL Services were contained within sections 3.8 to 3.9; and

 

4.4 CONSIDERED any recommendations to the CYPLL Committee on the budget monitoring of the Social Work functions.

5 SOCIAL CARE FUND 2016/17 - REPORT BY HEAD OF SOCIAL WORK/CHIEF SOCIAL WORK OFFICER

NOTED the detail provided in relation to how the Social Care Fund 2016/17 had been utilised to 31 December 2016.

6 JOINT INSPECTION OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE FOR OLDER ADULTS - IMPROVEMENT PLAN - REPORT BY HEAD OF SOCIAL WORK/CHIEF SOCIAL WORK OFFICER

Decision

 

6.1 NOTED the range of actions planned to deliver on the recommendations of the report, in respect of those relevant to the social work service; and

 

6.2 AGREED that further reports would be presented to update Committee on the progress of actions relevant to and being actioned by social work.
