3 ACTUAL OUTTURN 2017/18 AND FINANCIAL PLAN 2018/19 - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES.

Decision

 

NOTED

3.1     the estimated free income available for the Stranraer Common Good Fund for financial year 2018/19 was £30,118 as detailed in the Appendix to the report; and

3.2     that within the free income available the amount available to award from The Henry McDonald Fund was estimated at £800 as detailed in the Appendix to the report.

4 APPLICATIONS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES.

Decision

 

NOTED 

4.1     the estimated free income available from Stranraer Common Good Fund for financial year 2018/2019 was £30,118 as detailed at paragraph 3.10 of the report;

4.2     that within that free income available the amount available to award from The Henry McDonald Fund was estimated at £800 as detailed at paragraph 3.10 of the report;

 

AGREED

4.3      to award applications for financial assistance as follows and as detailed in Appendix 2 to the report:-

  • Stranraer Sea Pyots Visual Arts Group - £2,812.50 
  • Galloway Action Team - £6,645.00
  • Stranraer Music Town - £3,112.00
  • The Furniture Project (Stranraer) Limited - £4,000 on the basis that working in partnership with other organisations should be included under "match funding" and that this application supported the Council's main priority which was to support the most vulnerable and those most in need; and
  • RNLI Park Fest - Young Guns Night - £750.00; and

4.4     to review the Criteria and Scoring System for Common Good Fund Applications for the next financial year.

 

MEMBER - Andrew Guisti requested that his dissent be recorded in relation to the decision regarding the Furniture Project (Stranraer) Limited as his Amendment to grant 75% of £4,000 did not receive a seconder.

5 ANY OTHER BUSINESS DEEMED URGENT BY THE CHAIRMAN DUE TO THE NEED FOR A DECISION

NOTED that there was no item of business deemed urgent by the Chairman due to the need for a decision.
