3 GALLOWAY GLENS LANDSCAPE PARTNERSHIP SCHEME - REPORT BY DIRECTOR OF ECONOMY, ENVIRONMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Decision

 

NOTED

3.1       the background to the development of the Galloway Glens Scheme;

3.2       the proposed development stage timescales and process culminating in the Stage 2 bid to The Heritage Lottery Fund;

3.3       the challenges being faced in the Galloway Glens Scheme project area as detailed at paragraph 3.14 of the report; and

3.4       AGREED that the comments and ideas of attendees, including proposed projects, as detailed in the Appendix, be submitted to the Galloway Glens Partnership Board.

4 PUBLIC FORUM

NOTED

 

4.1       that any issues with the new Dumfries hospital needed to be raised with the NHS Board;

 

4.2       that consultation was currently underway on local development plans and members of the public were encouraged to comment;

 

4.3       that Ward Workers and Ward Managers should be in post in the autumn and that these Council officers would be the main point of contact between community groups and the Council;

 

4.4       AGREED to request that SWestrans consider consulting with local community councils.
