PROCEDURE - The Governance Officer advised that The Police Scotland report had not been issued with the printed set of papers and that copies would be distributed to all present and an adjournment should therefore be taken to allow time for the paper to be read.  ACKNOWLEDGING that this item was on the agenda calling the meeting in compliance with the Standing Orders, and that furthermore that the report had been published on the Council's website in the papers for this meeting.

4 SCOTTISH FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY LOCAL PLAN 2014-2017 11-MONTH PERFORMANCE UPDATE - 1 APRIL 2015 - 29 FEBRUARY 2016 - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES

Decision

 

4.1     SCRUTINISED the performance report from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, for Dumfries and Galloway, from 1 April 2015 to 29 February 2016; and

 

4.2     REQUESTED that future reports contain information on benchmarking data and annual staffing levels within the Dumfries and Galloway area and also detail specific hot spots of where Road Traffic Accidents are happening to see if there is a trend developing.

5 POLICE SCOTLAND DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY LOCAL PLAN 2014-2017 11-MONTH PERFORMANCE UPDATE - 1 APRIL 2015 TO 29 FEBRUARY 2016 - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES

5.1     SCRUTINISED the performance report from Police Scotland, for Dumfries and Galloway, from 1 April 2015 - 29 February 2016; and

 

5.2     REQUESTED that future reports contained information on the analysis of complaints about the Police.

6 DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL RESPONSES TO NATIONAL CONSULTATION - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES

Decision

 

NOTED

 

6.1     the Dumfries and Galloway response to Scottish Government Strategic Police Priorities;

 

6.2     the Dumfries and Galloway Council response to Police Scotland on the draft Annual Police Plan; and

 

6.3     the Dumfries and Galloway Council response to Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary in Scotland (HMICS) Scrutiny Plan.

 

6.4     that where possible engagement workshops will be held with Elected Members on Police and Fire and Rescue Service consultations prior to the submission deadline

7 ANY OTHER BUSINESS DEEMED URGENT BY THE CHAIRMAN DUE TO THE NEED FOR A DECISION
