4 DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE REVENUE BUDGET MONITORING 2012/13 FOR PERIOD ENDING 31 AUGUST 2012 - REPORT BY ACTING DEPUTY CHIEF FIRE OFFICER

Decision

 

NOTED that the Fire and Rescue Service was currently projected to underspend by £220k and FURTHER NOTED that the 1% pay rise would impact on this.

5 DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE CAPITAL MONITORING REPORT 2012/2013 - REPORT BY ACTING DEPUTY CHIEF FIRE OFFICER

Decision

 

NOTED the capital expenditure of £246,000 and that a more detailed breakdown of the £100,000 of further expenditure for the Operational Development Centre would be made available to Members.

Decision

 

AGREED the publication of the draft Public Performance Report 2011/12 for wider circulation to Fire and Rescue Service stakeholders which would be accessed via the Council’s website www.dumgal.gov.uk (Dumfries and Galloway Fire and Rescue Service).

7 NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE/FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE ANNUAL JOINT REPORT ON HIGH LEVEL AGREEMENT - REPORT BY ACTING DEPUTY CHIEF FIRE OFFICER

Decision

 

NOTED the content of the NHS/Fire and Rescue Service Annual Joint Report on High Level Agreement.

 

PROCEDURE - The Chairman intimated that with the agreement of members he intended to deal with next the item titled “Any other Business deemed urgent by the Chairman due to the need for a decision”
 

8 LOCAL GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1973 - CONSIDER ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION TO EXCLUDE THE PUBLIC FROM THE MEETING IN TERMS OF SECTION 50A(4) OF AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF PART 1 OF SCHEDULE 7A TO THE LOCAL GOVENRMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1973

AGREED to exclude the public from the meeting in terms of section 50A(4) of and paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule7A to the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973

10 CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED FROM THE POLICE COMPLAINTS COMMISSIONER FOR SCOTLAND - REPORT BY CHIEF EXECUTIVE AND CLERK TO THE POLICE AUTHORITY AND FIRE AND RESCUE AUTHORITY

Decision

 

ENDORSED the recommendation from the Police Complaints Commissioner for Scotland that Dumfries and Galloway Police Fire and Rescue Authority no longer deals with any further complaints made by an individual which are directly related to those it has already dealt with

11 INTERIM CHIEF FIRE OFFICER - RETIREMENT - REPORT BY CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Decision

 

11.1   NOTED the intention of the interim Chief Fire Officer to exercise his right to retire with effect from 28 December 2012; and


11.2   AGREED that the interim management arrangements for the Fire and Rescue Service set up by this Authority on 16 August 2012 were maintained and kept under review and subject to reports to future meetings if required.
