Decision

AGREED

3.1    to receive a presentation on the Upper Nithsdale Charrette and the resulting proposals for regeneration of the area; and

3.2    to provide an opportunity for members of the public and other stakeholders to review the proposals for regeneration and discuss elements of these proposals with Elected Members and Council Officers utilising various display boards within the venue.

PROCEDURE the Chairman advised that the meeting would now break to allow members of the public to participate in workshops to discuss the following questions on Upper Nithsdale Regeneration:

(a)    Which of these projects do you think should be the priorities?
(b)    Are there any projects that we have missed?
(c)    Do you think you will benefit from these projects and, if so, how?
(d)    How do you think the community can contribute to the delivery of regeneration in Upper Nithsdale?

3.3    AGREED that the feedback received from the public discussion groups, as at the Appendix, would inform the Final Draft Upper Nithsdale Regeneration Plan to be submitted to Nithsdale Area Committee in December 2015 and thereafter, subject to its agreement, to be submitted to the Economy, Environment & Infrastructure Committee for its approval.
