4 GALLOWAY VIKING HOARD - REPORT BY DIRECTOR COMMUNITIES

Decision

 

NOTED the current position and anticipated timetable for the allocation of the Galloway Viking Hoard and REQUESTED that this Sub-Committee be consulted on the final agreement by Communities Committee, holding a Special Meeting if required.

5 APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM GALLOWAY CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL - REPORT BY COMMUNITY PLANNING AND ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

Decision

 

5.1     NOTED as detailed in Appendix 1, a free income balance of £14,970 remains available for disbursement in 2016/17; and

 

5.2     AGREED to award £1,000 to the Galloway Children’s Festival Project to assist with the costs of performers and play leaders for the 2017 event as detailed in paragraphs 3.8 to 3.11.
 

DECLARATION OF INTEREST - Lesley Garbutt declared an interest in the following two items of business by virtue of being a member of Kirkcudbright Community Council and determined that her interest was such that she would leave the meeting.

6 APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE KIRKCUDBRIGHT FORUM - REPORT BY COMMUNITY PLANNING AND ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

Decision

 

6.1     NOTED, as detailed in Appendix 1 of the report, a free income balance of £14,970 is available for distribution in 2016-17; and

 

6.2     AGREED to award £5,000 to the Kirkcudbright Forum towards the production of Visit Kirkcudbright and What’s On 2017 as detailed in paragraphs 3.8 to 3.12, subject to a noticable shift to reduce costs by using a mix of technology and paper to encourage self sustainability for the future.
 

7 APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE ROYAL BURGH OF KIRKCUDBRIGHT COMMUNITY COUNCIL - REPORT BY COMMUNITY PLANNING AND ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Decision

 

7.1     NOTED that,as detailed in Appendix 1 of the report, a free income balance of £14,970 is available for distribution in 2016-17; and

 

7.2     AGREED to award £1,000 to the Royal Burgh of Kirkcudbright Community Council for running costs of the Community Council and that any grants required for specific projects should make application as appropriate.
