4 FISHINGS REPORT - REPORT BY HEAD OF CIVIC AND LOCAL SERVICES

Decision

 

NOTED

 

4.1     the level of fishing ticket sales income generated for the 2015 season;

 

4.2     the catch returns for the 2015 season as detailed at section 3.2; and

 

4.3     AGREED to hold the ticket prices as at 2014.

 
5 COMMON GOOD REGISTER UPDATE - REPORT BY HEAD OF LEGAL AND DEMOCRATIC SERVICES

PROCEDURE -

 

A copy of the late report was circulated to Members.

 

Decision

 

NOTED the progress made to date with the asset register for Dumfries Common Good.

 
6 DUMFRIES COMMON GOOD GRANT APPLICATIONS AND CRITERIA - REPORT BY HEAD OF CIVIC AND LOCAL SERVICES

Decision

 

6.1     NOTED the grant amount of £13,092 available for disbursement ;

 

6.2     APPROVED the updated funding criteria as detailed in Appendix 1 of the report;

 

6.3     AGREED the following awards:-

6.3.1  £2,526 to The Royal Burgh of Dumfries Tattoo
6.3.2  £3,000 to Friends of Dock Park
6.3.3  £1,420 to Nith Catchment Fishery Trust
6.3.4  £300 to Guid Nychburris Festival Association
6.3.5  £1,250 to The First Base Agency
6.3.6  £3,000 to Dumfries YMCA; and

 

6.4     AGREED to amend the recipient of £3,500 for the purpose of developing a business plan from Loreburn Community Council to Loreburn Hall Trust.

7 COMMUNITY COUNCIL REPRESENTATION - REPORT BY HEAD OF CIVIC AND LOCAL SERVICES

Decision

 

AGREED the details of Community Council representatives on the Dumfries Common Good Sub Committee as being:-  1 representative from Georgetown Community Council, 1 representative from Lincluden Community Council,1 representative from Lochside & Woodlands Community Council and 1 representative from Loreburn Community Council.

 
8 LAND AT SUNDERRIES ROAD, STAKEFORD, DUMFRIES - REPORT BY DIRECTOR CORPORATE SERVICES

Decision

 

8.1     NOTED that the former Caravan Site, Sunderries Road, Stakeford, Dumfries was surplus to Council requirements, and

 

8.2     AGREED to recommend to Policy & Resources Committee that the land be leased to Sandside Community Garden Project Association for a term of 10 years at a peppercorn rent for the purposes of forming a community garden
 

 
9 QUEEN OF THE SOUTH SUPPORTERS SOCIETY (QUEENS TRUST) - REPORT BY HEAD OF CIVIC AND LOCAL SERVICES

Decision

 

AGREED in principle to support the request from the Queen of the South Supporters Society (Queens Trust) to have a resolution added to the Agenda of the Annual General Meeting of Queen of the South Football Club, subject to a meeting being held with members of Queen of the South FC Board and the Queens Trust to discuss the appointment of a representative of the Queens Trust to the Board.
