4 DUMFRIES COMMON GOOD GRANT REPORT - REPORT BY HEAD OF IMPROVEMENT AND ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNITY SERVICES

Decision

 

4.1      NOTED the grant amount of £15,280 available for disbursement ;

4.2      AGREED to develop funding criteria and scoring framework ; and

4.3      AGREED awards as below:-

4.3.1  £1420.00 to the Nith Catchment Fishery Trust for ‘Control of Japanese Knotweed and Giant Hogweed along the riparian zone of the River Nith’;

4.3.2  £2500.00 to Area Framework Nithsdale for ‘Provost Robes’;

4.3.3  DEFERRED application by Troqueer Parent and Friends Council for the project ‘Troqueer Parent and Friends Council - Trim Trail Improvements’ until further information was received with regard to securing funding from Education and access being available to all members of the public;
4.3.4  £500.00 to Loreburn Community Council for ‘Stoney Smith Commemoration’; and

4.3.5  £5860.00 to Inspired Community Enterprise Trust Ltd for the ‘Restoration of gates and railings in the new community café, The Usual Place’.

5 FISHINGS REPORT - REPORT BY HEAD OF IMPROVEMENT AND ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNITY SERVICES

NOTED

 

5.1     the level of fishing ticket sales income generated for the 2014 season;

5.2     the catch returns for the 2014 season; and

5.3     AGREED the new style Fishing Leaflet which incorporated the updated Fishing Rules.
