4 MONITORING REPORT TO 31 DECEMBER 2015 - REPORT BY HEAD OF FINANCE AND PROCUREMENT

NOTED

 

4.1      to date grants of £5,714 have been made in 2015/16; and

 

4.2       based on the forecast outturn there is free income of £5,886 that could be distributed.
 

5 APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE - REPORT BY HEAD OF CIVIC AND LOCAL SERVICES

NOTED

 

5.1      that the free income available for disbursement of grants in the financial year 2015/2016 is £5,886;

 

AGREED

 

5.2      a nil award  in respect of the grant application for funding up to £3,700 to Threave Rovers Football Club towards the purchase of a storage container 40ft x 8ft to allow for storage in a dry heated environment of all training kit and coaching equipment and to purchase a portable goal set; and

 

5.3     not to award on the grounds that further evidence was required to demonstrate work by the Club in seeking and securing funding from sponsorship and other grants together with plans for the long term sustainability of the Club. 

 

6 CASTLE DOUGLAS COMMON GOOD FUND CASTLE DOUGLAS COMMUNITY COUNCIL: APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

NOTED

 

6.1      that based on the forecast outcome detailed in the Monitoring Report to 31 December 2015 there is free income of £5,866 available from the Common Goods 2015/16 to make grant awards;

 

AGREED

 

6.2      to award up to £2,000 to the Castle Douglas Community Council for 2015/16 disbursements made totalling £1,900.00 as detailed in the Appendix, in accordance with the annual grant allocation; and

 

6.3      an award of up to £2,000 to Castle Douglas Community Council for the purpose of assisting local voluntary organisations in Castle Douglas, subject to a detailed account of how the monies were disbursed being submitted to the Council at the end of the current financial year 2016/17.
 

7 ANY OTHER BUSINESS DEEMED URGENT BY THE CHAIRMAN DUE TO THE NEED FOR A DECISION
